Job description:

The Opportunity
In this role, you are responsible for delivering operational People and Culture support. You are the go-to guide for leaders, supporting with everything related to the people side of the business.
In this position you will play a vital role in our dynamic team, ensuring people thrive and contribute to our unique culture. No two days are alike in this fast-paced environment where you will be contributing to the uplift in organisational capability by partnering with site leaders to drive change and promote a high performing culture.

The Accountabilities

  • Build effective working relationships across all areas of the site and with key stakeholders across the network, delivering high-quality professional services and guidance.
  • Provide commercially considered guidance and advice to leaders, across all levels, for individual performance and conduct matters, including development of management strategies, writing letters, appropriate recording of documentation, compliance with the key principles of procedural fairness and natural justice and preparing responses to Unfair Dismissal claims and representing TAG at formal hearings.
  • To be a key contact for Unions and Union delegates to raise matters and to appropriately manage and address their concerns.
  • Guide leaders in compliance with the relevant industrial tools (Awards & Enterprise Agreement) and applicable legislation.

The Ingredients for Success

  • Just like you can't make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role;
  • ER / IR experience including exposure to management of Union relationships, providing guidance and advice in relation the ER matters, exposure to Fair Work processes
  • Highly effective engagement and communication skills with the ability to support leaders across all levels, including remotely, to convey a clear understanding of complex matters
  • Ability to interpret policies and procedures, as well as application of Awards and Enterprise Agreements
  • Capability to identify and understand complex issues and conduct targeted research into appropriate solutions.
  • Previous experience delivering generalise HR support and activities within an operational environment
