Who are we?

Established in 1994, Pilbara Meta Maya Regional Aboriginal Corporation (PMMRAC) is an Aboriginal organisation based in the Pilbara, with responsibilities to provide essential and community services to remote Aboriginal communities within the Pilbara, Gascoyne and Mid-West regions of Western Australia. We are seeking a Water & Wastewater Engineer to join our team.

The role - travel the Pilbara and Mid-West

Reporting to the Essential Services Operations Manager, the Water & Wastewater Engineer will be responsible for delivering technical support, design and commissioning of Water & Wastewater infrastructure maintained by PMMRAC.

The role is fixed-term until 30 June 2026 with possibility of the role becoming permanent. The FIFO roster is 15 days on, 13 days off and we can fly you into Port Hedland from any major capital city in Australia.

About you:

You don't mind having to pull out a swag and camp under the stars on the odd occasion.

You are driven to deliver high quality services with a 'can do attitude', and bring with you the following experience and skills:

Essential Criteria

  • Control System or Electrical Engineer
  • C Class Licence (Manual)
  • Knowledge of water and wastewater infrastructure
  • Switchboard design including motor control and telemetry systems.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining SCADA systems.
  • Experience with PLC systems

Desirable

  • Knowledge of ComAp power control systems
  • Knowledge of Pervasive Telemetry products
  • HR or MR licence
  • Current Senior First Aid
  • Experience with Reverse Osmosis, Electrodialysis Reversal, and Ion Exchange Water Treatment Plants
