In May 2023, BFG acquired the Monbeef processing facility based in Cooma at the foothills of the Snowy Mountains. Monbeef s a world-class processing plant taking quality beef from South Eastern Australia to the nation and the world.
Job Description
We are looking for a friendly and engaging person to be our site lead for People and Culture. Reporting to the Plant Manager you will partner with the team to provide guidance and advice across the employee life-cycle. You will be the main point of contact for all things HR for the site as well as supporting injured workers in their rehabilitation and return to work. The role will be supported by the Group Head of P&C and operate as part of the broader Bindaree Food Group P&C team.
Key responsibilities for the position include:
- Providing authoritative guidance and advice to leaders and team members across the employee life-cycle, including employee benefits, leave policies, employee performance, conduct issues, grievances, investigation and the interpretation of awards
- Supporting various HR initiatives, including social and engagement activities, employer branding, employee recognition programs, workforce planning and performance appraisals.
- Coordinating end-to-end recruitment activities in a timely manner, inclusive of inductions and onboarding.
- Supporting WorkCover claim management and helping injured team members return to work quickly and safely
- Overseeing the accuracy of the HR Information System (ELMO), ensuring accurate records are kept throughout the employee life cycle
