Reporting to the Senior Category Manager - ICT this position will be based in Melbourne CBD and sit within the Strategic Procurement team. As a Category Specialist you will utilise your ability to build relationships quickly to understand stakeholder requirements, build vendors relationships and to provide valuable commercial outcomes. The Strategic Procurement team is vital in supporting the organization transformation and day to day operations. Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:

  • Support the ongoing success of ICT category management planning and practices, working within category management, including stakeholder management and planning of activities to ensure key deliverables are met.
  • Support business objectives through the development of procurement and market event documents
  • Contribute to the timely creation and processing of internal purchasing documentation linked to requirements.
  • Research industry to ensure Cenitex is an informed client that clearly understands current and ongoing trends, opportunities, value and innovation.

About You

To be considered for this position you will have a high level of competency in the following:

  • Experience with Corporate Services (HR, Facilities, Legal Services, Marketing and Learning & Development) and Technology product, services and vendors
  • Victorian Government procurement processes and government probity requirements with a view of providing advice to stakeholders is desirable but not essential
  • Demonstrated vast experience in a Procurement role including category management, contract and vendor management  
  • Focused on partnering with internal stakeholders to become a trusted advisor
