The Land Engineering Agency, as part of the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group, supports various Directorates and Systems Program Offices to ensure successful requirements development, acquisition and in-service support of land materiel. The Agency provides services in engineering, testing, design and development and technical data management. Services are provided across the whole of the Defence Capability Life Cycle.
As a member of the Land Engineering Agency, the Technical Officer will have a unique opportunity to be part of an engineering and technical team to deliver Australian Defence Force systems that are at the leading edge of Defence capability.
The APS 5 Technical Officer will have demonstrated ability to perform technical tasks, activities and functions including technical advisory functions in the field of military equipment and systems.
About our Team
The Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) is an integral part of the Department of Defence. This group purchases and maintains military equipment and supplies in the quantities and to the service levels that are required by Defence and approved by Government. Within CASG, the Land Domain acquires and supports designated land systems for the Australian Defence Force.

Our Ideal Candidate
The right person for this role will be a Technical Officer who is required to provide technical advice and expertise to support the achievement of Technical Integrity of land military equipment and systems.
The Technical Officer may be employed in a commodity or platform based role performing engineering based acquisition or sustainment activities within their level of assigned technical authority on a variety of land materiel.
Land military equipment and systems may consist of but not limited to: vehicle and armoured vehicles, soldier protection, clothing (textiles), weapons and battle management systems.
