Are you an experienced Senior Civil Project Manager or Senior Civil Estimator? Are you interested in progressing your professional career with one of Tasmania’s leading civil construction companies?

Searson Buck has been engaged to identify a number of individuals for key roles for this well-known Tasmanian civil construction brand.

To be considered for the role of a Senior Project Manager or Senior Civil Estimator, you will have a minimum of 7+ years of practical experience on large scale infrastructure projects including dams, irrigation, bulk earthworks, major road constructions/realignments and construction projects within the mining sector.

To be successful in either the Senior Project Manager or Senior Estimator role, you will be able to demonstrate key aspects around sound project management and/or estimating methodologies, past tendering experience, cost control analysis and evaluation, plant and materials procurement, sub-contractor engagement, negotiations of contract variations, risk management systems, supervisory and team management along with a proven commitment to developing a strong workplace health & safety culture.

You will have proven experience dealing with a range of stakeholders both internal and external at all levels, from project administration staff to senior level commercial and government clients. As a senior project management professional, you will be encouraged to apply your innovative and creative thinking to deliver projects on time and within budget whilst always adhering to the company’s internal Quality Management Systems.

It is imperative you have the ability to motivate, engage and foster high levels of enthusiasm across diverse teams and assist senior management create an environment of ownership and accountability. Due to the scope and nature of these roles, there may also be the requirement for intra-state travel and potentially extended site/project stays.

If you are able to demonstrate the following competencies and skills, we want to hear from you;

  • Relevant Tertiary Degree's as a Civil Engineer
  • High level commercial and business acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver and/or manage construction projects
  • Project Management and supervision skills
  • Sound problems solving, judgement and decision making abilities
  • Competency working with estimating software/programs
  • Professional Membership of Engineers Australia
  • Full Australian Work Rights
