About the Role

Icon Water has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Development Projects Coordinator. This role has primary responsibility for coordinating the delivery of complex projects that include new water and wastewater assets intended for handover to Icon Water, ensuring all new assets meet the relevant engineering standards. 

In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate the delivery of complex projects involving the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Establish and lead a Project Steering Committee through engagement of relevant internal and external stakeholders for each project.
  • Develop and Maintain a Complex Projects Program to ensure Icon Water can support delivery of complex projects.
  • Assist the Manager, Urban Development Services and act as a point of reference on matters involving Complex Projects.
  • Engage with the Developer Services and Building Services teams to ensure approvals are processed and relevant requirements are met for complex projects.
  • Liaise with developers, consultant, contractors, suppliers and other government organisations on matters involving complex projects.
  • Provide technical input to resolve complex issues arising from external enquiries.

What do I need to succeed in this role?

Essential

  • A degree in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, manage and implement specific tasks and projects.
  • Experience in preparing and presenting complex business issues and information combined with the ability to engage and influence a diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand engineering drawings and basic hydraulics. 
  • Sound understanding of WHS, quality and environmental management principles.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies in line with the project management body of knowledge (PMBOK).
  • Demonstrated ability to utilise information technology systems and to adapt to changing environments.
  • Familiarity with Water Services Association Australia (WSAA) Standards, and other applicable Australian Standards.
