The opportunity

The Network Services Team plays a critical role in enabling City West Water to provide exceptional service to our customers by ensuring the delivery of safe, reliable and affordable drinking water, recycled water and sewerage services across City West Water’s distribution and reticulated network.

Responsible for leading the Network Services Team and coordinating operational and response efforts across the business, with Melbourne Water and other water retailers to safely and efficiently operate the distribution network to deliver services to more than one million customers each and every day.

The role recognises the opportunity to provide exceptional services for our customers at all times and reflects and anticipates customer needs in the operation of our network. The role ensures City West Water is adopting and leveraging advances in technology to enhance the overall safety, security and reliability and cost of operations to deliver value for customers.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Relevant degree, trade qualification or Water and Sewer Operations experience
  • Risk management mindset demonstrating and an understanding of operational and service risks
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Actively seek and apply new ways of working and a spirit of innovation
  • A passion to influence and shape strategic thinking and direction
