About the role
We’re looking for a highly motivated individual to join our busy and dynamic team. You’ll be able to live and work in the Clarence Valley where we have a work/life balance that is exactly as it should be – balanced.
Our Procurement Team is looking for an ambitious Trainee Procurement & Contracts to assist with a wide range of procurement and contracts administrative functions. As part of this Career Path Trainee role, Council will provide on the job training, cover all TAFE fees and provide future opportunities as a qualified Procurement/Contracts Officer. To be successful in the role you will need a passion for procurement and contracts administration and a willingness to learn and help others.

Other important information
This position is located at Council's Rushforth Road Works Depot, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.
Trainees must be eligible to enrol in, or transfer to, the study program offered or an equivalent as approved by the Council.
Following the period of the traineeship, the trainee may be considered for the permanent position of Procurement Officer, subject to meeting the required eligibility criteria.
A probation period applies to this position.
