The Carbon Steel Materials Group in the Mineral Resources Business Unit conducts research and consulting services across the iron ore and metallurgical coke value chain. The group works closely with industry creating impacts that include growing Australia’s resource base, increasing productivity and reducing environmental footprint in the carbon steel value chain. The group operates pilot and laboratory experiments across areas including sintering & pelletising, Geometallurgy, high temperature chemistry and coke making and testing.
As a Research Technician, you will be involved in operating and maintaining unique pilot plant equipment as well as conducting pilot scale experiments aimed at supporting the placement of Australian Metallurgical coals in the international export market.
Location: Pullenvale, Brisbane QLD
Salary: $66k to $84k pa + up to 15.4% super
Tenure: Specified term of 36 months

A current National Forklift Ticket and a Current Manual Drivers’ Licence would be highly desirable.
