Project Officer - Major Projects 

  • Temporary full-time for 3 years.
  • Band 6/7 (based on experience) plus 9.5% Super plus ADO
  • Salary range ($83,840-$103,788)

Maribyrnong City Council is undergoing significant change in population growth, redevelopment, gentrification, and a transitioning economy is leading to an influx of new residents, businesses and opportunities.

The Project Officer Major Projects will support the Major Projects and Strategic Relationships team to facilitate, and coordinate Council responses on the implementation of major planning, urban renewal and transport projects, in particular the Westgate Tunnel Project and the North Maribyrnong precinct.

You will effectively coordinate Council's technical responses, review and prepare reports, ensure effective communication across the organisation, providing a high standard of customer service and timely and accurate specialist advice to a diverse group of stakeholders.

You will have a tertiary qualification in either, urban planning, engineering, project management or related discipline with several years' experience to ensure success in this key role. An understanding of major transport projects would be an advantage.
