The Role

You’re probably aware of Asahi Beverages recent acquisition of CUB which has resulted in one of the most impressive and expansive beverages portfolios in Australia. You’ll get to work across this incredible portfolio, unlocking the potential of our people across all business functions. 

CUB is on the lookout for an experienced People Specialist to work out of our Yatala Brewery. Working as part of a job share with the People BP, you will be accountable for implementing the People agenda on site while partnering closely with Managers and the leadership team to drive high performance and engagement. 

Your key accountabilities will be:

• Support the leadership team in leading, managing and supporting their teams to deliver the business strategy
• Build strong relationships with team members, team leaders, and managers to coach on a range of issues
• Manage and deliver a high quality, professional and valued People service to the site
• Lead People Pillar activities as part of lean manufacturing
• Support and coach managers in understanding and dealing with industrial relations issues
• Assist manage potential conflict situations while adhering to all IR policies and practices

Success in this role looks like a highly engaged and driven culture that you've helped create in partnership with the leadership team at the brewery while effectively implementing People activities that aligns with the business strategy. 

About you

You are ambitious, curious and seeking a rewarding and impactful career that continuously challenges you. You bring your IR/ER expertise that you've gained from a HR role within manufacturing/warehousing.

You're confident working in a unionised environment and have frequently interacted with manufacturing and/or trades unions directly. Your ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders to drive outcomes are second to none and your energetic and friendly approach allows you to communicate clearly to all levels of seniority.

You're not afraid to tackle issues and obstacles that are unknown to you because you're always willing to learn and take on new challenges. If you're a wiz at Microsoft Excel and can navigate through KRONOs then even better!
