 Your Purpose

Reporting to the Human Resources Director – Australia, you will be a member of our Eastern Region Leadership Team, responsible for the development and implementation of people and talent strategies across two large manufacturing sites in Darnum and Bayswater.  Key to the role will be your ability to partner with the site teams, ensuring best practice HR is achieved in managing BAU tasks.

As part of this Eastern Region remit, it is expected that at least two of the five days will be spent at the Darnum site, with the remainder of the time located at Bayswater.

Partnering with the site Leadership teams, you will focus on the following key areas:

Building a sustainable culture of high performance and team work across each unique site.

• IR/ER responsibilities; including leading EBA negotiations and consultation processes.
• Providing generalist/operational HR support to Line Managers including support with performance management and people development.
• Coaching site leaders through change initiatives to deliver effective business, cultural and employee engagement outcomes
• Influencing business leaders to ensure the development of the next generation of leaders in the Eastern Region

 What you’ll bring

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Generalist HR professional with a strong background supporting operations; you’ll be a true leader who drives to make things happen. You should enjoy building relationships and trust in order to provide expert advice to business leaders. Experience in managing union relationships and dealing with IR/ER issues will be central to your success. Most importantly, you must be agile, approachable, and passionate about supporting our staff in their careers.

 We are looking for a true business partner to bring a visible presence across both sites, in addition to:

 A degree in Human Resources with HR business partnering experience.

• Experience in a large complex business environment.
• Solid Industrial Relations experience including EBA negotiations and dispute resolution.
• The ability to build strategic business relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Sound change management expertise.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement and process improvement systems as applied in an operational environment.
