After a recent re-structure, we have a newly created position available for a Procurement Analyst to join the new Contracts and Procurement Department on a permanent full time basis (flexible working arrangements may be considered), located at our modern and sustainable office on Glenferrie Road in Malvern, surrounded by an abundance of shops, cafes and restaurants.
In this position, you’ll provide specialist advice and an analytical service to the Contracts and Procurement Department and Business Units across the organisation on key trends and behaviours to achieve best value and identify opportunities for more cost effective purchasing. Some of the general duties will include:
- Reviewing existing suppliers’ expenditure to ensure compliance
- Developing information collection methods and identification, assessment and management of opportunities and risks associated with different commercial strategies
- Coordinating screening functions for 3rd party verifications
- Liaising with the MAV in the facilitation of the LEAP Program
We’re looking for someone with relevant experience, knowledge of relevant LG Legislation, policies and procedures and guidelines for Procurement processes and activities and experience in analysing, recommending and implementing opportunities for cost reduction and sustainable procurement. Additionally, you’ll need demonstrated stakeholder management with interpersonal and relationship building skills that create and sustain productive relationships and partnerships.
