The City of Stonnington is seeking a professional Contracts Officer to join our Risk, Safety & Assurance Department.
As a key member of the Contracts Governance team, you will be responsible for establishing direct contact with Contract Supervisors and employees undertaking tendering processes and ensure that processes are in accordance with Council’s Procurement Policy, tendering processes and the Local Government Act. You will also be responsible for maintaining standardised tendering and contracting documentation and promoting this documentation within Council.

The successful applicant will have experience in the management and maintenance of tenders and contract records within a computer based Contracts Compliance Management System, experience in interpreting relevant local government legislation and managing projects.
With well-developed knowledge of the Local Government tendering processes and the implications for contract evaluation and management, you are able to provide concise and accurate advice to both internal and external clients, identify and implement improvements to contract management processes and work effectively within a team.
