Council has a key management opportunity at the Operations Centre. This role will provide leadership, planning and delivery of Road Maintenance Services which impact on the presentation and operation of the city.

Reporting to the Manager Roads, Fleet and Waste you will be a talented and an energetic professional who has a track record of practical delivery of services.

The Road Unit delivers both maintenance and capital works in roads, footpaths and associated infrastructure such as drainage, bridges, retaining walls and street furniture with the use of both day labour teams and contractors.

The Unit has inspection and asset protection teams taking care of Council’s assets. If you are an experienced manager with strong people skills, budgetary and contract management skills, organisational skills and have a customer service focus, this could be the job for you.

To be successful in this role you are required to have extensive experience in the Road Maintenance and Construction Industry, a Certificate 1V in Civil Construction or equivalent or other relevant management discipline.
