As Senior Project Manager for our Major Projects division, you’ll help us deliver against commitments to our major projects portfolio and connect Queensland to an even brighter and more sustainable future. No matter your role, your work is about ensuring we provide high voltage electricity to over five million Queenslanders and 253,000 businesses.
Together, we’re gearing up for an even brighter future, working at the heart of Queensland’s energy transformation. We need your specialised engineering and project management expertise in the development of high voltage transmission infrastructure to support the delivery of major projects portfolio.
Our Major Projects division will be responsible for delivering some of the largest ever energy transformation and economic development projects in Regional Queensland, and one of the largest expansions to the power grid in Australia. These projects will further unlock the renewable energy potential for Queensland.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will develop a comprehensive project management plan and ensure that specific project objectives are achieved which involves all aspects of the project, including scope, budget, schedule and quality.
This role also acts as the primary interface between the internal and external stakeholders supporting the project delivery. This will require the incumbent to operate effectively across different functional groups and divisions.
Here’s how:
- You’ll lead cutting-edge projects, planning and managing the project delivery for some of our major new energy infrastructure projects.
- You’ll join a team that is solving complex technical delivery problems with a focus on safety, quality and efficiency.
- You’ll coordinate the delivery of assigned projects to approved budget, time and infrastructure specifications.
- You’ll create a high performing project team, building a strong delivery team culture ensuring a high standard of project team performance
What you’ll bring
- Degree level qualifications in Engineering and/or Project Management and or demonstrated experience in a similar field.
- Significant relevant program and/or project management experience in the development of high voltage transmission infrastructure projects.
- Proven people leadership and relationship building skills working with your project team and delivery partners to optimise delivery
- A high performance delivery focus, managing risks and adapting to ensure certainty in delivery
We’d also love you to have:
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of Major Projects, ideally in high voltage submission and/or transmission lines or other industries.
