Iron Ore Holdings (IOH) has announced it has secured a Native Title Land Access Agreement with the Kuruma Marthudunera (KM) Native Title claimant group, which provides consent for the company’s exploration, mining and infrastructure activities in the KM claim area.

 

The agreement cover’s IOH’s Buckland Project, including the 8Mtpa Bungaroo South Mine and the 180 kilometre private haul road and small scale barging area at the company’s Mardie tenement on the Pibara coast.

 

Iron Ore Holdings announced that the agreement covers milestone and production payments, cross-cultural exchanges and employment opportunities.

 

“This Land Access Agreement is formalization of the positive working relationship IOH has with the KM people and we look forward to this relationship expanding over time,” IOH’s Managing Director Alwyn Vorster said.
