Nominations are on for an award to recognise ecologically sustainable practices in the building and design industries.

People in all levels of the industry can be nominated, with award categories for small and large commercial projects, business, individuals and more.

Previous winners include The National Hotel by Breathe Architecture and the Darling Quarter by FJMT Architects. The National Hotel received accolades for its extensive reconstructions using absolutely no carpet, chrome, aluminium or plasterboard and painted with recycled engine oil.

Entries for the 2013 prizes are open until August 30th, presentations are in November. Eligible entrants can apply online.
